St. Mary Catholic Secondary School Holds Annual Terry Fox Run

In Community, Local

On Friday, October 11th, the St Mary school community participated in their annual Terry Fox Run to raise money for cancer research.

The hard work of our SMCSS Student Council, led by Ms. Gibson,  was evident as students participated in several spirit activities to honour Terry’s legacy and continue his fight.

Together, the school raised $11, 441 to continue their legacy as part of the top 10 Ontario secondary schools in fundraising efforts.

A special thanks go out to Mr. Quemby, Mr. Reed and Mr. Linehan who were the top homerooms, as well as our Grade 12 student Ava Liao-McDonell who has been St Mary’s top fundraiser for four consecutive years.
