Video – Historical Films of Cobourg

In Editor Choice, Local

This is just strictly for those people, possibly from the historical society that wish to look at historical films from Cobourg.

The films were taken by my grandfather Winston Fisher and show various places in Cobourg.

Among the subjects in the films are the old ferry that would travel from Cobourg to Rochester and back.

The launching of the HMCS Cobourg Corvette which shows the crew along with the Mayor of Cobourg at the time.

Dominion Day parade through Cobourg which I  believe was filmed in 1948 (in colour).

Aerial view of Cobourg and the beach area.

Among other areas in and around town.

Enjoy
