Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Fail to Comply and Possession of Fentanyl (No Name Released)

A 30-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after police responded to a suspicious person call on Saturday morning.

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 7:42 a.m., police responded to a suspicious person call in the East end of Cobourg. The complainant reported observing two people sleeping behind a school. Through investigation, police determined one of the individuals was on condition not to be with the other person present.

As a result, a 30-year-old Cobourg man was arrested at which time a quantity of fentanyl was located on him.

The man was charged with failing to comply with probation order and Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl).

The accused was held for a show cause hearing and remanded into custody.
