Town of Cobourg reminds residents that there are more ways to pay, including online credit card and pre-authorized payments 

Cobourg, ON (August 29, 2024) – The Town of Cobourg would like to remind everyone that the final installment for 2024 taxes is due in September and October.

The final installment for residential property taxes is due September 5, 2024. The second bills and final installments for commercial, industrial and multi-residential tax bills are due September 5 and October 31, 2024.


More Ways to Pay
The Town of Cobourg would like to remind residents and businesses that there are multiple ways to pay municipal taxes, including online credit card payments or pre-authorized payment plans. Individuals are encouraged to go paperless by registering for e-billing.


Online Credit Card Payments
The Town of Cobourg offers online credit card payments for individuals interested in paying their property taxes through Paymentus. Paymentus Corporation is an independent third-party automated payment service that accepts VISA and Mastercard. To pay your taxes using credit card, visit //Cobourg.ca/taxes.

A service fee will be applied by Paymentus for this service.

Pre-Authorized Monthly Payments (PAP)
Pre-Authorized Payment plans allow taxpayers to pay their taxes monthly, free of administration fees.

Residential Owners PAP Plan

  • This plan allows for 10 instalments. The plan runs from February 10th to November 10th each year.

Commercial/Industrial/Owners PAP Plan

  • This plan allows for 12 instalments. The plan runs from January 10th to December 10th each year.

Pre-authorized payments are deducted from the taxpayer’s bank account on the 10th day of each month. Some terms and conditions do apply. To register for pre-authorized payments, visit //Cobourg.ca/taxes.


Go Paperless by Register for e-billing
The Town of Cobourg would like to encourage residents to go paperless in 2025 by registering for e-billing. To register for e-billing, visit //Cobourg.ca/taxes. The required information includes your roll number, first and last name of the property owner, address and contact information.
