A message on the pavement in Henley’s Arcade is attracting a bit of attention in Cobourg.

The message has been in the passageway from King Street to Covert Street for several days and stated, “Free Palestine – Arms Embargo Now!”

Communications Manger with the Town of Cobourg, Kara Euale said, “under the Town of Cobourg Nuisance By-law, individuals are not permitted to deface publicly owned property. In accordance with the Canadian Charter of Rights Freedoms, the Town of Cobourg supports peaceful protests. However, any defacement of public property is not authorized or condoned.”
