Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Possession of Break-In Instruments (No Name Released)

A 57-year-old Cobourg man has been charged after being found in the garage of a private residence.

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a man being found inside the garage by the owner of a residence on Ontario Street. When confronted by the homeowner, the man fled the area, leaving behind a duffle bag containing bolt cutters.

As a result of the police investigation, a 57-year-old man from Cobourg was charged with possession of breakin instruments.

The accused was released on an Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
