Video – Taking A Break from the Heat, or Strange Sight?

In Local

A strange sight on a peaceful evening in Cobourg on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

A person who was sitting under a blanket drew a bit of attention on Chapel Street.

Shortly after 6 p.m., while driving along Chapel Street, west of College Street it was strange enough to see what appeared to be a person spotted under a blanket near the roadside.

A closer look revealed a silhouette of the person inside the tent.

Periodically it appeared the person was putting a lighter up to their mouth and a large plume of smokey haze emanated from the blanket.
