Peterborough Police – Suspect Arrested in Arson (No Name Released)

A 29-year-old North York woman is facing an arson charge after a fire March 2, 2024.

After a four-month investigation, officers with the Investigative Services Division executed a search warrant at a North York residence on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

As a result, a 29-year-old North York woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Arson, Disregard for Human Life

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court August 1, 2024.

Arson Investigation

The Peterborough Police Service is investigating after a fire was deliberately set at a Peterborough business early Saturday morning.

At approximately 5:00am on March 2, 2024, officers were called to the business in the Lansdowne Street and Brealey Drive area. Upon arrival, they learned that the front window had been smashed and a fire set.   No one was injured in the incident.  A suspect was seen leaving the area in a dark sedan.
