Northumberland OPP – Police Asking for Public’s Assistance Regarding Theft of Boat and Trailer

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for the public’s assistance regarding the theft of a boat and trailer.

On July 12, 2024, OPP received a report where the complainant stated that their boat and trailer had been stolen from a storage yard on County Road 18 in the Township of Alnwick-Haldimand. The victim advised that the boat and trailer was last sighted on July 7, 2024 and the owner returned on July 12, 2024 to find them gone. The boat was still in a light blue plastic wrap.

The boat is described as a pontoon and 21 feet in length with Hull number ON8845645. The value of the boat and trailer is approximately $70,000.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the suspect or suspects involved in this theft.
