The City of Belleville is pleased to announce that the eight new pickleball courts at Clifford Sonny Belch Park (formerly Hillcrest) are now open.

The courts will operate from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (subject to change) and run on a first-come-first-served basis. To ensure fair and proper use, we ask that participants maintain 20-30 minutes of playtime if others are waiting to use the facilities and abide by the following rules of participation:

· Courts are to be used for pickleball only – no skateboards, bikes, scooters or other wheeled devices (with the exception of wheelchairs) are permitted and they are not to be used for any other sports.

· No dogs allowed.

· Proper footwear is required.

· Smoking is not permitted within 15 metres of any sports facility.

· Please be respectful of park neighbours and keep noise to a minimum.

Washrooms will be open for use during operating hours. Any issues or concerns with the facilities may be reported through our Report an Issue form online.

“After some unfortunate delays, we are very pleased to be opening this exciting addition to Clifford Sonny Belch Park,” said Manager of Operations Planning and Development with Transportation & Operations Services, Rowland Cave-Browne-Cave. “We appreciate residents’ patience and hope they are as pleased as we are with the new courts.”
