Breaking News – Video – Tent Destroyed by Fire at Encampment in Cobourg

Emergency services were dispatched to a tent on fire at the encampment in Cobourg’s east end on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Shortly after 11 p.m. the Cobourg Fire Department along with Northumberland County Paramedics and Cobourg Police were dispatched to the encampment on the former Brookside property on King Street East.

Captain Gene Stroeder said when crews arrived the fire was extinguished, but a tent was destroyed.
There is no cause of the fire and no one was in the tent at the time.
