Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Harassment (No Name Released)

A 37-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after police investigate a report of unwanted communication.

On Sunday, April 14, 2024, police opened an investigation in response to a report of ongoing harassment of a\ staff member by a patron at a business on King Street in Cobourg.

The victim advised that they had received unwanted messages from a patron between June 2023 and April 2024. Unwanted communication continued even after the victim asked the patron to stop the communication multiple times.

As a result of the police investigation, a 37-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with harassing communication and two counts of criminal harassment.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
