Cobourg Police – Cobourg Woman Charged with Theft and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (No Name Released)

A 30-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after police responded to a theft in progress Saturday afternoon.

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, at approximately 2:45 p.m., police received a report of theft in progress at a business in the area of King Street and Spring Street in the Town of Cobourg.
It was reported that an individual entered the store and attended the cosmetics department where she was observed concealing merchandise in a bag and exiting the store without making any attempt to pay.

As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date
