Video – Commercial Motor Vehicle Collision Blocks Off-Ramp at Grafton

There were no serious injuries after a commercial motor vehicle flipped on its side blocking the off-ramp to Highway 401 westbound at Grafton on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

At approximately 4 p.m., emergency services including Northumberland Paramedics, Northumberland OPP and Cramahe Township Fire Department responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a commercial motor vehicle at the westbound off-ramp at Grafton.

The pickup truck suffered damage to the passenger side, and the commercial motor vehicle slid on it’s side taking down a light pole before stopping and blocking the off-ramp.

The driver of the commercial motor vehicle wasn’t injured, but firefighters had to cut the front window of the vehicle to allow the driver to get out.

The off-ramp was closed for approximately two-hours and the investigation is continuing.
