Cobourg Police – Ajax Man Charged with Theft (No Name Released)

A 35-year-old Ajax man was arrested for theft after police responded to a call Monday morning.

On Monday, March 25, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., police received a theft report from a local business in the area of Covert Street and George Street in the Town of Cobourg. Staff reported that multiple items had been taken from the property. The complainant located the property at an address on Division Street near Spencer Street.

Responding officers located an individual in possession of the property.

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Ajax man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, uttering threats, and breach of probation.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released.
