Belleville Police Service – Drug Trafficking Arrests – Project Renewal (Names Released)

Seven people are facing drug and trafficking charges following a search warrant at a home in the east end, Thursday.

Members of the Project Renewal drug enforcement team along with the Belleville Police Emergency Response Unit and K9 executed a CDSA warrant at a home on Herchimer Avenue mid-morning.

In addition to the arrests, a quantity of drugs and cash were seized, including the following:

· Cocaine – 87.8 grams

· Methamphetamine – 10.6 grams

· Unknown pills – 7 pills

· $500.00 in Canadian currency.

 

40-year-old Steven JOHNSON of Belleville was charged with the following offences:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA.
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – Sec 5(2) CDSA.
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – S.354(1)(a) Criminal Code.
· Breach of Probation (re: fail to keep the peace and be of good behaviour) – S.733.1(1) Criminal Code.
52-year-old Troy HOSKING of Belleville was charged with the following offences:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – Sec 5(2) CDSA.
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – S.354(1)(a) Criminal Code.
35-year-old Belleville woman was charged with the following offences:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – Sec 5(2) CDSA.
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – S.354(1)(a) Criminal Code.
· Breach of Undertaking (re: not to possess any substances in the CDSA) – S.145(4)(a) Criminal Code.

 

56-year-old Lori BETTS of Belleville was charged with the following offences:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – Sec 5(2) CDSA.
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – S.354(1)(a) Criminal Code.
· Breach of Probation – S.733.1(1) Criminal Code (re: contact with Allen Tompkins)

 

60-year-old Allen TOMPKINS of Belleville was charged with the following offences:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – Sec 5(2) CDSA.
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – S.354(1)(a) Criminal Code.
56-year -old Manon BENARD of Belleville was charged with the following offences:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – Sec 5(2) CDSA.
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – S.354(1)(a) Criminal Code.

 

Starsky HUGHEY was charged with the following offences:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – Sec 5(2) CDSA.
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – S.354(1)(a) Criminal Code.

 

The 35-year-old Belleville woman charged was held for a show cause hearing. All of the other accused persons were released on an undertaking with a court date of March 18, 2024.
