Video – Birthday Fundraiser Helps Out Community Works – The Foodbank in Bewdley

In Community, Local

A birthday fundraiser for the Community Works – The Foodbank in Bewdley was a sold-out success on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

The idea for the roast beef dinner was Gus Norman who was celebrating his 57th birthday.

Norman is always finding ways of giving back to the community and almost 120 means were purchased for the event.

Approximately $2,400 was raised from the event.

“It’s a sense of community and they do such great work for those that really, really need it,” said Norman.

“I feel blessed at what I do and that I’m able to give back.”

The Foodbank in Bewdley serves 50-60 house holds a week which is approximately 170 people and said the donation by Norman helps a “tremendous amount.”
