Pedestrian Struck by Van in Cobourg

One pedestrian suffered non-life threatening after colliding with a van on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 in Cobourg.

At approximately 8 a.m. emergency services responded to College Street at King Street after a collision between a pedestrian and a van.

The van was traveling eastbound on King Street when it turned left onto College Street.  At the same time a pedestrian was crossing College Street and collided with the van.

The pedestrian had two bicycles with him and they became lodged under the van.

The foot of the pedestrian was stuck under the front passenger wheel of the van.  With the help of Cobourg Police the foot was freed.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was walking about after the incident.

The driver of the van was shaken, but uninjured.

No word yet on charges.
