Hundreds Gather for Remembrance Day Service in Cobourg

The annual Remembrance Day Service was held in Cobourg on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

At 10:15 a.m. a parade being lead by Drum Major Lorrie Krebs and the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums paraded east on King Street, down Church Street to the cenotaph.

Also in the parade were veterans, members of the Royal Canadian military, reservists, cadets, dignitaries, members of council and town staff.

Hundreds of people turned out for the ceremony with Jaye Bevan’s presiding over the service.

Chris Devlin from the Concert Band of Cobourg played The Last Post and Pipe Major Michael Beech from the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums played a lament before wreathes were placed at the cenotaph.
