Queenies Bake Shop Holds 12th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway in Port Hope

Queenies Bake Shop held their annual Thanksgiving Giveaway Turkey Dinner on Sunday, September 8, 2023 in Port Hope

Owner Adam Pearson said it was the 12th year he’s held the event and said it’s one of the most enjoyable days of the year for him.

“The community is so supportive of Queenies every single day throughout the year and this is my way of saying thanks, giving back to the community.”

People line-up outside Queenies for the turkey lunch/dinner giveaway which starts at noon while the Queenies Jam Band entertained them and even had a few sing-a-longs.

“All throughout the years, I’ve always made it free for anybody and even if you have a few extra bucks there is a donation jar for the Fare Share Food Bank.”

Pearson said he has a great staff with five staff members volunteering to help out.

Pearson worked upwards of 20-hours preparing the delicious meal that including turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, corn and more.
