Cobourg Police – Driver Arrested After Collision with Bollard in Downtown Cobourg

One driver was taken into custody following a collision in Cobourg on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. a vehicle collided with a bollard by Henley’s Arcade on King Street across from Victoria Hall.

The driver continued on King Street and turned north onto George Street with the bollard wedged underneath the vehicle.

The vehicle continued to drive north on George Street and ended up stopping on Chapel Street just east of Transition House.

Police spoke to the driver of the vehicle outside Transition House and he was taken into custody a short time later.
