In Editor Choice, National, Photo Gallery

The first day of the Canadian International Air Show took place on Saturday, September 2, 2023 starting at noon.

Kicking off the show with the thunder of the world famous Blue Angels the show was a thrill from start to finish culminating with Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds.

The powerful jets of the F-18’s, F-16’s along with heritage flights of vintage aircraft flying side-by-side with modern fighter jets.

Eight-year-old Gordon Price thrilled the crowd with stunts from his Yak 50.

There was also a search and rescue demo by members of CFB Trenton and a Chinook helicopter from CFB Petawawa.
