Hamilton Township Launches New Community Recognition Awards

In City Hall

The Township of Hamilton is excited to announce the official launch of the new Community Recognition Awards Program. Through the dedicated work of the Community Recognition Awards Advisory Committee, the Township is introducing a new series of awards to recognize the success and achievements of deserving individuals, businesses, or organizations who have contributed through community involvement to make the Township of Hamilton a better place to live, work, and play.

“We have such incredible work being done in the Township by people who give their time and skills willingly to make our Township a great place to call home. Their dedication and passion for their community ensures that many of the great initiatives, activities, and events in our Township are successful. If you know of someone or an organization in the Township who is deserving of recognition, please nominate them today”. – Mayor Scott Jibb.

The five awards – Mayor’s Award of Excellence, Outstanding Youth Award, Volunteer Service Award, Environment Award, and the Innovation Award – will be presented at a special event this fall, where the Township will also honour and recognize its volunteer Advisory Committee Members and their dedication and contributions to the betterment of the community.

Residents are encouraged to nominate eligible individuals, businesses, and organizations by completing the nomination form after reviewing the award categories and eligibility criteria and submitting to the Township Clerk’s Department by the nomination deadline of October 13, 2023.

Award descriptions, nomination forms and eligibility criteria are available at www.hamiltontownship.ca/civicawards or in-person at the Township office in Camborne (8285 Majestic Hills Drive).
