Breaking News – Inmate Escapes from Collins Bay Institution

On May 16, 2023, during a formal count, staff members at the minimum-security unit from Collins Bay Institution, a multil-evel security federal institution, discovered that Joshua Kohl was not accounted for.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Kingston Police department and a warrant for the
inmate’s arrest has been issued.

Joshua Kohl is 42 years old, measures 183 cm (6’) in height and weighs 72 kg (158 lbs). The inmate has a medium
complexion, blue eyes and brown hair.

The inmate is currently serving an indeterminate sentence for second degree murder.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Joshua Kohl is asked to contact the police.

CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as
possible.

CSC has given the police all of the information available to help arrest the inmate
