Durham Regional Police – Police Recover Over One Million Dollars Worth of Stolen Vehicles

Investigators from Central West Division have recovered over a million dollars’ worth of stolen vehicles after executing a search warrant in Whitby.

On Thursday April 27, 2023, at approximately 11:45 p.m., members of Central West Division responded to the area of Warren Road and Hopkins Street in Whitby and located a stolen Lexus SUV.

Officers conducted further investigation and located additional stolen vehicles.

The following day on Friday April 28, 2023, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed, and investigators located a total of 11 stolen motor vehicles. The vehicles included 10 Lexus SUV’s and 1 Range Rover.

The vehicles seized were reported stolen from multiple jurisdictions which include Durham, York, Halton, Toronto & Niagara.

The investigation is continuing into the current ownership of the property. Anyone with surveillance or dashcam video in the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact police.
