Fairy Month at the Port Hope Public Library

In Community, Local, Upcoming Events

It’s Fairy Month in Port Hope, as the Port Hope Public Library’s Friends of the Library bring the magic of the fairy world to local downtown stores, culminating in a special display of fairy houses at the Port Hope Community Hub Branch in Canton on Saturday and Sunday, April 29 & 30.

Until the 30th of April, the public can pick up a passport at the library or any participating store and explore the downtown to find hidden fairy doors. After finding at least 8 locations, explorers can return to the library to win a small prize and be entered into a draw for one of two HBIA gift baskets. Fairy dolls or kits are also available for purchase.

Visit The Hub Branch on Saturday and information, visit the library at 31 Queen Street, Port Hope or www.porthopepubliclibrary.ca or call 905-885-4712. Sunday April 29th & 30th from 1:00-4:00 PM to see magical fairy houses, courtesy of Pickering Museum Village. Visitors can help create a fairy house for the library and decorate their own house to keep. For more information, visit the library at 31 Queen Street, Port Hope or www.porthopepubliclibrary.ca or call 905-885-4712.
