Durham Regional Police – Ultrasound Technician Charged with Sexual Assault

A 58-year-old male has been charged with sexual assault involving one of his patients in Oshawa.

 

In May 2022, members of the Central East Criminal Investigations Bureau commenced an investigation in Oshawa after a female patient of an ultrasound and x-ray clinic came forward to police to report a sexual assault. The suspect, an ultrasound and x-ray technician, had touched the victim in an inappropriate sexual manner during a medical procedure.

 

Investigators arrested and charged Igor IVANOV, age 58, of Thornhill, with Sexual Assault.

 

He was released on an Undertaking.

 

Investigators want to ensure there are no further victims. The accused has worked at numerous clinics throughout the GTA.
