At approximately 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, Cobourg Police discovered a side door window had been smashed at the former Cat and the Fiddle Pub on Covert Street in downtown Cobourg.

Officers notified members of the Cobourg Fire Department after smelling what was believed to be an odour of natural gas.
