Cobourg Police Investigate Break-In at Former Pub

Cobourg Police are investigating after discovering a break-in at a former pub in Cobourg.

At approximately 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, Cobourg Police discovered a side door window had been smashed at the former Cat and the Fiddle Pub on Covert Street in downtown Cobourg.

Officers notified members of the Cobourg Fire Department after smelling what was believed to be an odour of natural gas.

Cobourg Fire Department arrived on scene shortly after, blocked off a portion of roadway in front of the building. A search determined there was no leak inside the building and it was turned back over to police for investigation.
