Four unanswered goals in the second period guided the Picton Pirates to a 7-2 win over the visiting Port Hope Panthers in Game 3 of the Provincial Junior Hockey League Tod Division final Sunday evening at the Prince Edward Community Centre.
Port Hope evened the score twice in the first period before the Pirates pulled away during the middle frame and added one more goal in the third.
Isaac Langdon, assisted on a power-play by Christopher Brydges and Drew Clapperton, and Cole Kimble tallied the Port Hope goals. Kimble has now scored in four straight games.
Seven different players found the back of the net for Picton, including Carter McKee, Nick Kirby, Jack Dow, Gerrit Kempers, Geoff Boates, Landon McLellan and Cole Stevenson.
Port Hope still leads the best-of-seven series 2-1 and will host Game 4 on Wednesday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Jack Burger Sports Complex.
