U13 AA Nighthawks Advance to OMHA Championship April 7-9 in Kingston

After winning the Lakeshore League finals, the Northumberland Nighthawks MTW HVAC & Plumbing U13 AA team has qualified for their Ontario Minor Hockey Association Championship Weekend in Kingston from April 7-9.

It’s the second straight trip to the OMHA tournament for a number of the Nighthawks, which competed for the championship last year as U12 players.

This year, the U13 Nighthawks finished atop the Lakeshore League regular season standings with a 21-4-5 record.

Their round-robin schedule for the OMHA Championship Weekend at the Invista Centre in Kingston is: Friday, April 7 – 11 a.m. against the Barrie Colts and 6:30 p.m. against the Burlington Eagles; and Saturday, April 8 at 2 p.m. against the Halton Hills Thunder.

Also competing will be the Tecumseh-Shoreline Eagles, Stouffville Clippers, Oakville Rangers and Peterborough.

Semifinals are scheduled for Sunday, April 9 at 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. followed by the OMHA championship final at 3 p.m.
