Back to the Drawing Board For Father And Son Team and Their Crazy Craft

In Local

It was back to the drawing board after a father and son tried out their Crazy Craft for this year’s Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny in Port Hope that takes place on April 8, 2023.

Bruce Hartmann and his son Brandon visited the Cobourg Boat Launch bright and early on Monday, March 20, 2023.

The goal is, or maybe we should say “was” to have a person sit in the centre of the craft and has four balls keeping the craft afloat.

But it was soon learned by the father/son team that balls shrink in cold water.

Brandon hoped up onto the seat, but seconds after one of the balls became dislodged.

A quick adjustment and Brandon once again hopped up onto the seat.

But disappoint again as two balls because dislodged.

That was it for the test and it’s back to the drawing board.

But they promised they will fix the craft and they will be back next week to try it out in Cobourg Harbour.
