The Township of Hamilton is seeking resident and taxpayer input into the development of its 2023-2027 Strategic Plan. A short, 5-minute survey asks residents and taxpayers to identify their priorities and values as they relate to municipal business to be considered during the development of the new 5-year plan.

“The purpose of the Strategic Plan is to guide the decisions and actions of Council and staff in a way that will shape the direction of our community and reflect the needs of the Township’s residents and businesses” indicates Township Chief Administrative Officer Arthur Anderson.

“In conjunction with the Budget discussions, the new Strategic Plan will help set out the direction of Council. The Strategic Plan will have a major influence on the municipality’s course of action over the next three to five years.”

Senior staff have begun preliminary planning discussions around the Plan, including the development of new mission, vision, and value statements and the identification of high-level key strategies and objectives to be considered. Working sessions with Council are also being planned.

It is anticipated that the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan will be presented to Council and the Public in May 2023 for additional input. Final council approval is anticipated by the end of June 2023.

The 2023-2027 Strategic Plan Survey for residents and taxpayers will be available online at www.hamiltontownship.ca/surveys until March 31, 2023 at 12:00pm (noon).

Those who complete the survey also have the option of entering a random draw for a $100 prize pack featuring items from local Township of Hamilton businesses.
