Northumberland OPP Patrolling the Snowmobile Trails Over the Weekend

In Local, Police Blotter

Northumberland OPP were out patrolling the trails of Northumberland County on their snowmobiles on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Sgt. Pat Toms and Constable Jeff LaPorte spent most of the day along the trails after a major snowfall just hours before left perfect conditions for trail riders.

Along the trail near Centreton, the officers held a RIDE check along with trail documents and insurance.

LaPorte said everyone checked had everything in order and were very receptive of the officers patrolling the trails.

“We’ve been out the last three weekends. We haven’t really had any problems at all. Everybody has been so receptive and cooperative and are out enjoying themselves.”
