Volunteers Doing Their Best – The Rest Is Up to Mother Nature at the Castleton Skating Rink

In Community, Hockey, Local, Weather

Volunteers with the Castleton Sports Club have done their best to create the best ice, but Mother Nature doesn’t seem to want to cooperate.

For a few days, the weather was downright frigid, at times being -23 Celsius, then over the last few days the temperature has been above freezing.

Volunteers have done the best they could and through their hard effort, there is ice at the Castleton Sports Club.

It may not be perfect, but still the people came out on Sunday, February 5, 2023 to enjoy playing hockey or to even learn to skate with family members.

With temperatures hovering around the freezing mark during the week, the rinks may be short lived enjoyment until colder weather arrives.
