Clean-Up Continues In Cobourg Following Winter Storm

In Local

Clean-up continues in Cobourg from a severe winter storm that pounded the area with high winds.

Cobourg seemed to get the worst of the storm with hydro outages and numerous trees toppled in various locations throughout the town.

A roofer was replacing shingles that were ripped off the Cobourg Yacht Club on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Workers were also clearing at least six trees that were uprooted in St. Peter’s Court Apartments in Cobourg.

A roof was damaged in one of the units, but otherwise, like most places around town trees seem to narrowly miss houses or only caused minor damage.

It could be days or even weeks before the clean-up is completed from the storm.
