Cobourg Police – Armed Robbery Investigation

Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying two persons of interest in relation to a reported robbery.

On Monday, December 19, 2022, at approximately 8:00 p.m., police received a report of a robbery that occurred at a business on King Street West, in the Town of Cobourg. Police obtained information that two males robbed the store owner at knife point at approximately 7:00 p.m. They took cash from the cash register before leaving the store.

No physical injuries were reported during this robbery.

The two males were described as being in their late teens, white, wearing dark clothing and full-face masks, and each in possession of a large knife.

Police continue to canvass the area for witnesses and surveillance video footage.

Anyone with information or video surveillance footage of King Street West between Margaret Street and Stuart Street in Cobourg is asked to contact police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or online at www.stopcrimehere.ca. Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
