In Hockey
The Cobourg Cougars will play their third game in three nights when they host the Toronto Patriots in Ontario Junior Hockey League action tonight.
Game time is 7 p.m. at the Cobourg Community Centre.
Cobourg is coming off a 4-2 win in Mississauga on Saturday night and a 3-2 loss Sunday evening in Pickering.
Now 22-7-0-3, the Cougars’ game against the Patriots (17-12-1-3) is their last before the holiday break. It’s the first of five straight home games scheduled at the CCC for the Cougars, with the next coming Wednesday, Jan. 4 against the Aurora Tigers.
Meanwhile, the club will look forward to having two top players back in their lineup, including leading goal scorer Andy Reist and defenceman Adam Barone.
Reist and Barone earned silver with Team Canada East at the World Junior A Challenge in Cornwall. Canada East was defeated by the United States in Sunday’s championship game.
