Cramahe Fire Department Responds to Fire at Northumberland Waste Transfer

Cramahe Fire Department was dispatched to a garbage fire inside the Northumberland Waste Transfer site on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. the fire department was dispatched to the site located on Industrial Park Road North, just south of Highway 401.

When crews arrived on scene, workers had removed the burning debris from the facility and were hosing it down.

Using a thermal imaging camera, firefighters searched the area for hot spots while workers extinguished the fire.

There was no damage to the building.
