Update – Durham Police – Shooting Sends Six to Hospital

Police are seeking the assistance from the public in identifying a suspect vehicle from a shooting in Ajax in August.

 

Investigators from West Division are seeking the assistance from the public in identifying a vehicle and occupants. This suspect vehicle is observed on video surveillance at the scene of the shooting on August 1, 2022 at the rear of Dams Foods on Harwood Avenue South in Ajax. 


It is believed that there were multiple shooters at this event and police are seeking for witnesses to come forward.

Ajax Shooting Sends Six Victims to Hospital

 

Investigators are looking for a suspect(s) after six people were shot on Monday morning in Ajax. 

 

On Monday, August 1, 2022, at approximately 1:20 a.m., members from West Division were dispatched to a shooting call at the rear of the Dams Foods on Harwood Avenue South. Police located five people suffering from gunshot wounds. A sixth person showed up at a Toronto hospital, also suffering from a gunshot wound.

 

It’s believed that the suspect was in attendance at the customer appreciation party and was involved in a verbal altercation with some patrons. The suspect left the restaurant and hours later returned and opened fire at the party. Six adults, three females and three males were shot. Four suffered non-life threatening injuries and two victims suffered life-threatening injuries. All victims are listed in stable condition.

 

Police interviewed several patrons of this after-hours party and continue to look for witnesses and evidence that would assist in identifying the suspects(s). 

 

The only descriptors of the suspect is that he was a male. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-coloured four-door vehicle.
