Northumberland OPP Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Cramahe Township

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle that has County Road 21 closed between Walker Road and Pogue Road in Cramahe Township.

On Wednesday August 17, 2022, at approximately 2:36p.m., the Northumberland OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that occurred on County Road 21 in the area of Walker Road.  A group of three motorcycles were traveling together.  At a bend in the roadway it appears one of the motorcycles failed to negotiate a turn and went into the yard of a home.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

County Road 21 between Walker Road and Pogue Road was for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) conduct their investigation.

The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
