Boat Sinks at Cobourg Marina

Emergency services were called to the Cobourg Marina on Thursday, August 4, 2022 after a boat sunk at a dock.

At approximately 9:50 a.m. Cobourg Fire Department and members of the Canadian Coast Guard attended the area of the Cobourg Marina for a boat that sunk at the dock sometime in the morning.

There were no individuals on the boat at the time it sunk and at this time, there is no indication what caused the boat to sink.

Booms were set up around the boat to soak up any residual fuel that leaked from the boat which is approximately 22-feet long.

Boats in the immediate area were moved to other slips while the clean-up took place.

There were no injuries.
