Busy Weekend in Cobourg

By the number of people on Cobourg beach on Sunday, July 31, 2022, it was the busiest day of the summer for crowds.

Thousands of people flocked to Cobourg over the weekend to enjoy the near perfect weather on both Saturday and Sunday.

And with the amount of people sometimes people/children get lost.  On Sunday, two children were reported lost during the day.

Life guards and police were notified and both children were located a short time later.

People also found it very hard to find parking spots near the beach.

In the Charles Street parking lot that is reserved for Cobourg seasonal pass holders, the majority of vehicles in the lot had received $160.00 tickets on Sunday afternoon indicating they weren’t from Cobourg, or hadn’t got a $40 parking pass.
