Cobourg Police – Youth Charged with Multiple Thefts

On July 28, 2022, police arrested and charged a youth for multiple thefts from two businesses in the town of Cobourg between July 3 and July 21, 2022.

As a result of a police investigation, a 17-year-old of Cobourg was charged with the following offences:

• Eight counts of Theft under $5,000.00 contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code

• Eight counts of Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to section 354(1) of the Criminal Code

The youth was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
