City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Fatal Pedestrian Involved Collision in Fenelon Falls

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in Fenelon Falls.

On July 26, 2022, just after 4:30 p.m., City of Kawartha Lakes OPP and emergency services responded to reports of a passenger vehicle striking a pedestrian on Colborne Street (County Road 121) at Francis Street in Fenelon Falls. The pedestrian was transported to hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.

The identity of the deceased will be withheld to allow for family notification.

Colborne Street will remain closed between Helen Street and Bond Street for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists complete their investigation.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken with investigators is asked to call City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
