Pedestrian Airlifted to Toronto Trauma Centre After Being Struck By Vehicle

One person was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre after being struck by a vehicle on County Road 28, north of Highway 401 in the Municipality of Port Hope on Friday, July 8, 2022.

At approximately 9:40 p.m. emergency services were dispatched to County Road 28, north of Highway 401 after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

It appears the vehicle was heading north on County Road 28 when it collided with the pedestrian on  the driver’s side of the vehicle.

County Road 28 from Telephone Road to Dale Road was closed for several hours while OPP investigated the collision.

The pedestrian was taken to Northumberland Hills Hospital and later airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre to be treated for his injuries.
