Amazing Evening at Blue Rodeo Concert in Cobourg

In Editor Choice, entertainment, Local

Being at a Blue Rodeo concert at the Cobourg Community Centre on Thursday, June 16, 2022 was almost like being at a family get together with 2,000 of your closest friends.

The sold-out concert was just what the community needed.

That “kick” for the summer to get the party started.

And what a party it was at the CCC.

Emcee for the evening was Joe Bowen, the voice for the Toronto Maple Leafs who was presented with a Cobourg Cougars jersey.

Kicking off the evening was Evan Farrell who was also presented with a Cobourg Cougars jersey.

Farrell got the crowd started and they were much appreciated by the up and coming musician.

But it was Blue Rodeo the audience were waiting for.

Starting off the evening with Trust Yourself, Diamond Mine, then going into What Am I Doing Here, the band performed many of their hits from their 35-year career that has included 16 studio albums.

And joining the band for the evening were 2,000 of their closest friends who sang along with them.
