Cobourg Police Hold Cram-A-Cruiser for Northumberland Fare Share

Members of the Cobourg Police Services held a Cram-A-Cruiser event at David’s No Frills on Division Street on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

Starting from 10 a.m. members of the service along with members from Northumberland Fare Share were collecting items such as food donations and money.

Northumberland Fare Share Food Drive Coordinator and Board Member Denis Culver said the community was “super supportive.”

“It’s great to see the police out supporting us and the community out supporting us.”

Culver said, “it’s an unfortunate necessity in today’s world. We’ve seen the numbers climb dramatically in the last year.”

“Without this people go hungry.”

The event takes place every month at a different grocery store.
