Lennox and Addington OPP – Grafton Driver Charged with Stunt Driving and Impaired

On March 20, 2022 at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 401 in Napanee, after it was observed by officers travelling at a high rate of speed.

After stopping the vehicle, officers observed the driver to be showing signs of impairment.

As a result, L&A County OPP arrested and charged Dryden LIBOIRON-MINIFIE, age 19, of Grafton, Ontario, with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs – Criminal Code (CC)
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) – CC
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero – Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
  • Race a motor vehicle – HTA
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor – Liquor Licence and Control Act (LLCA)
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available – Cannabis Control Act (CCA)

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on April 5, 2022. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
