Driver Uninjured After Van Strikes Port Hope Town Hall

The driver of a van was uninjured after it collided with the Port Hope Town Hall on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

At approximately 11:20 a.m. emergency services responded to the Port Hope Town Hall after a vehicle stuck the building.

It appears the vehicle was in a disabled parking spot when it accelerated into the building.

The van suffered heavy damage to the front end, but the building only had a few minor scratches.

The driver of the van refused medical treatment and there were no charges given the collision occurred on private property.
