Cobourg Police Service Investigating After Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle Early Saturday Morning

On Saturday, November 27, at about 1:00 am, police attended the area of King Street East and Coverdale Avenue in response to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The vehicle was travelling westbound on King Street East approaching Coverdale Avenue when the pedestrian was hit.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries and transported by air to a Toronto area hospital in serious condition. The pedestrian is currently listed as critical but stable condition.

Cobourg Police Service called in the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police – Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team who were on scene on Sunday, November 28th.

The investigation is ongoing. It has been determined the driver is not at fault.

No further updates will be provided.
